Description

The bivalent MD cell-associated vaccine is a combination of live cell-associated virus of HVT FC-126 strain (serotype III) and the SB-1 strain (serotype II), grown on SPF chick embryo fibroblast culture. The vaccine is maintained and supplied in liquid nitrogen (-196°C) along with a compatible diluent at room temperature.

Composition
Each dose of vaccine contains live cell associated virus of HVT FC-126 strain ≈ 5000 PFU and SB1 strain ≈ 3000 PFU.
Indications
As prophylaxis against Marek’s Disease in poultry.
Route of administration
Subcutaneous on day old chick at the back of the neck.
Shelf Life
24 months from date of manufacture.
Storage
Store at –196 °C should be maintained in cryo-containers with liquid nitrogen. Protect from light.

Instructions

The cell-associated vaccine should be thawed at 60 seconds in water bath maintained at 35°C. After thawing, the vaccine contents should be gently mixed with the diluent. The reconstituted vaccine should be maintained at room temperature and the vaccination must be completed within 45 minutes. It is advised to gently shake the vaccine intermittently during vaccination. Dispose of all used containers properly.
