The vast network throughout the country helps PDRC to keep tabs on Field Disease Conditions and undertake applied research. Zonal Laboratories investigate and undertake disease surveillance covering length and breadth of India. Satellite Laboratories have been set up in all zones. They cater to the local needs of poultry farmers. Satellite laboratories are equipped with effective communication facilities so that they can report to zonal laboratories. In turn zonal laboratories communicate the information about disease situations to the central laboratory at Pune.
